Tatau. Usually people think it means ‘I don’t know.’ in Malay. Um, but actually it’s a location. A pekan kecil somewhere off Bintulu, Sarawak, which I featured here before.
Paid a short one-night visit there again last Saturday, and returned to Kuching the next evening.
Took some photos ;)
It was 7.30 a.m.
River.
A random shot without looking that turned out not bad (for me lah).
I think I love monochromes so much that I kinda shunned colours then.
GOAL!
I felt completely psycho when I took this. LOL. Like taking photos of people’s clothing like that. Hahaha. Extensive editing involved. See also can tell.
Okay, I wanna claim that all these photos are taken by me, and involves a lot of post-processing, because I am definitely no good with photography, or taking photos, anything. LOL. Apologies.
See you! =)
P.s. Thank you gradient map in Photoshop that made my photos appear in so many colours even though I shot them all at the same time. LOL. (Refer photo 1 & 2).

I’m not really supposed to blog now cause I have a zillion things on my to-do list. So much to do, so little time. But humans are ironic anyway…… Oh well.
Gonna be making a short step-by-step on my DIY gold chain headband. Made it for fun. Had always wanted to get one (doesn’t necessarily means that I’m going to wear it), but haven’t really seen ones that I actually like. Plus the better-looking ones are quite pricey, which I think I’d rather spend the money on something else.
Okay, we’ll need two things:
One:
A chain. Could be anything: an old necklace, bag chain. Anything. Mine’s an old, slightly-tarnished bag chain (mum’s) around 1 meter long (I have a big head).
Two:
A common hair rubber band. Preferably the sort with cotton strings wounded around it.
The theory goes like this:
The longer your chain, the shorter your rubber band.
The longer your rubber band, the shorter your chain.
Step 1: Folding
Fold the chain in exact half.
Mark the end (the dotted blue circle).
Step 2: Securing
Put your rubber band next to the marked point.
Push your rubber band into one of the chain loops (try to find the ‘middle’ loop).
Pull it halfway through.
Then take one end and slot it into the other loop of the rubber band. LOL. Lousy explanation. Just follow the arrows above.
Okay, you should get something like this. Then as shown, pull that circled end as far as it would go.
Have you got this?
Step 3: Final
Bring the secured end to the other end of the folded chain. That’s supposed to be where the chain’s ‘latch’ is located.
Super simple. Just secure the latch around the rubber band.
Done! =)
LOL. Now this is easy. Just drape the headband on top of your head over your hair. If the size doesn’t fit, just try to adjust the rubber band’s length a bit.
Done! Goash. My fingers ache.
P.s. Thank you to my darlings who gave me my awesome birthday gifts! I love you guys. You guys know yourself (and me) well!
P.p.s. Sorry for the lack of blogging. Got tons of stuff to do =(
P.p.p.s. Click my ads! I’m soooooooo close to the sum I want! Please help. LOL. (I’m so pathetic.)

The last time I had my haircut (fringe don’t count) was in around 4 to 5 months ago I suppose. I suppose I need a trim now, since my hair is getting out of shape.
My hair grows =) Something I’m happy bout. But the ends are getting seriously dry =(
Remember my flat fringe? It grew.
Went to Abbie for my haircut. Been sticking to Abbie for a couple of years now.
The result?
I look guai (obedient), with less layers and more volume. And my fringe isn’t flat this time.
No dry ends! (All snipped off)
Yeah, it looks shorter cause I had 3 inches taken off. But it’ll grow back, no worries.
Comparison. LOL. I don’t know what you think lah. But I find it okay. Something for a change.
See you!
P.s. Something totally irrelevant. I made this:
Looks cool right? Right?
Five minutes only! Super easy! I did according to the video below:
Erm, I did some tweaking of my own so doesn’t look completely alike. Hehe. But it’s worth a try!

OLIVE OIL
Yes. Olive oil.
I love this thing because it’s so multi-purpose. And under comparison, budget wise. You’ll get what I mean in a bit =)
Pietro Coricelli Extra Virgin Olive Oil (RM 14.90)
I got a smaller bottle of this from the local supermarket. Erm. I’ll explain what I did with this bottled oil….
1. Cooking
Okay la. I don’t cook usually unless extremely necessary. The truth is, I kinda doubt my own cooking because I find it hard to finish my portion (because it’s not tasty)and terpaksa force everything into my tummy because I’m the one who cooked it.
LOL. I just made olio pasta (erm, pasta with garlic and olive oil). I like olio pasta for one very simple reason: there’s no meat. I don’t need to tell the chef to omit the meat or whatsoever when I eat out. It seems pretty simple but the outcome I did was…… edible. Yeah, edible, but tastes weird. (I can’t estimate ingredients properly. Whether I estimate properly or not the outcome is just weird lah anyway.)
2. Hair care
Yalah. I know you think I’m gross for putting cooking oil on my hair. But it works okay? My hair is getting real dry at the ends because I dye my hair quite often and I haven’t got the ends trimmed, despite using conditioner. So I tried olive oil treatment.
Just pour out 1/2 cup of olive oil, microwave it for 20 seconds until it’s warm, then apply it to your hair. Warp your hair in cling film (I used towel though), then leave on for at least 1/2 hour. You want leave on overnight also can (as according to the website). After that shampoo and condition.
Honestly I think it works. I’m not saying my hair is now like the Pantene model lah. I mean it’s better as compared to before.
3. Makeup remover
YES. This is the budget wise part. I have never seen any makeup remover sold at RM14.90 per liter. AND olive oil removes everything. Even waterproof mascara. I’ve been using this for 6 months now I think, mostly for eye makeup. Just sort of massage the oil on then wipe off with cotton pad. Wash your face after that.
Warning: Un-fresh olive oil can become a burden to your skin.
4. Moisturizer
Because I don’t like my whole face getting oily, I just use one tiny bit on my face/ body. But I don’t usually do that since I have lotion and face moisturizer. Oh well, but it works. Once I put too much Oxy 5 (the acne curing cream) on my face and it sorta made my face too dry. So I dabbed on some olive oil and the next morning my skin’s back to normal.
Um, I’ve heard that wearing olive oil on your skin and going under the hot sun can cause the olive oil to ‘burn’. Maybe it’s not fire but definitely something not good for skin.
Basically those are stuff that I do with it, for more uses you can visit:
This is just one from a million uses. Just Google : ‘Olive oil uses’ and you receive tons of results.
HELLO KITTY
Enough said ;)
BONG
I don’t care if I look retarded. Haha.
He’s getting fairer and fairer. I think he’s about my skin tone now. Can’t haolien to him anymore…. LOL.
PHOTO MANIPULATION
Simply a current hobby.
(LOL. I’m blogging bout this when I thought I wouldn’t.)

P.s. I’ve got 45 types of to-buy things in my college Visual Studies Material List. This is absurd.

Erm, first of all, I apologize for the lack of blogging.
Secondly, I’d like to thank all the people who wished me happy birthday (even though I’m somewhat upset that I’m 18 now), either via Facebook (majority), text (minority) [by the way, I lost most of my contacts a while back and the list isn’t entirely recovered. So in case you text me and I ask for your name, don’t feel too hurt or what, kay?], verbally (minority’s minority).
Either way, thanks for wishing me!
I just finished a piece of work, a photo manipulation :
In My Dream
Yeah, that’s the title. I’m not making up the name, it’s got a reason behind: I dreamt bout this place. It was sooooo beautiful in my dream, I can’t bring Bong there so I decided to let him see how it’s like actually. Of course, I’m no manipulation guru so the outcome’s less attractive as compared to the scene I saw in my dream. But too bad I can’t show you my dream to let you make comparisons.

There are two trees in my photo manipulation but actually they are the same one as shown in the photo above. I just cut & paste it’s own parts to make them look different.
From collecting stock to final touchup, it took me around 7 hours I believe. Well, this is what bored people do……
Hope you like it.
Thanks for reading =)

Hey people. I’m home. Did anyone bother to miss my blog? LOL.
Anyway, Kuala Lumpur was…… not bad. I mean, lots of shopping and undeniably vibrant, despite of the humongous traffic jams, but everything else was pretty great. A lot less boring than Kuching is, I should say.
Tons of people had been to KL before, me included, so there’s not much surprises to be uncovered anymore, it’s not like we’re going to a whole new, never-before-seen city where everything is new and astonishing to us. No, KL was expected.
Well, the biggest highlight of my trip was……
SANRIO!
Okay, what’s Sanrio? Erm, Sanrio owns Hello Kitty. LOL. That is like, Mickey Mouse is under Disney, and Hello Kitty is under Sanrio. Get me now? Yep, apparently Kuching doesn’t have an authorized Sanrio shop (yet. I hope.), and KL does! Mum told me it’s new at Lot Ten and I was all looking forward to go!
PLEASE SCROLL DOWN!
It turns out…… It’s not actually a shop, but more of a section in the department store. But whatever, not like I mind!
That’s my mum, caught off guard =)I love the decor!
The whole section is…… pink, mainly pink.
It’s more like a carefully arranged Hello Kitty exhibition than a section selling merchandise.
Erm, actually taking photo is prohibited so some of my photos are crooked cause I’m trying to avoid the salesperson =/
Sorry, Sanrio.
You know, Sanrio’s quite biased cause they sell Hello Kitty’s stuff with a more expensive price tag than Melody’s. (Okay lah, I know. Marketing strategy~)
Before I went I vowed to buy something there. I wanted to get a makeup pouch cause the current one I’m using is too small to hold everything.
Unfortunately…… I didn’t spot any nice ones/ any that I like. And instead…… I got this!
TADAA!
A big Hello Kitty tote =D
This is the front side. I think Kitty makes everything look cute, as long as she’s printed on it =)
The back.
I’m so glad I bought this cause it’s big and holds tons of stuff inside. And it’s cute! =)
LOL. So if your eyes are sharp enough, you’ll see there’s a similar tote in photo two, on the bottom corner on the right. Saw that? That’s a smaller sized one.
I know not everyone likes Hello Kitty, but well, I DO! LOL. I’m spreading the Kitty Disease. I have a thing for cats =)
Thanks for reading =)
P.s. I love my blog skin but that’s not Kitty, that’s Charmmy.
